Primary Care Trust Project
In Bristol the carers centre have been running a project funded by the Primary Care Trusts. Unfortunately due to funding cuts the Easton part of the project is no longer available. Support for carers in Easton can be accessed through our carersline. However, the Avonmouth part of the project has secured alternative funding so Helen will continue in her role based at Avonmouth Medical Centre. Her role will continue to provide locally based support to carers with a primary focus on the carer's own health needs, both physical and emotional.
Contact Helen Mathias at Avonmouth on 0117 9825247 or helenm@carers-bs.org.uk
Carers can get involved in other planning groups and with the Health and Social Services Partnership Board, containing senior politicians and officers.
